New Era Facility Services has officially established operations in New Zealand, extending the service model we have built across Australia into our first international market.
The move followed the continued growth of our Australian business. Before expanding across the Tasman, New Era had established a national presence across Australia and was supporting more than 400 sites.
From an established Australian operation
New Era’s Australian operation spans hospitality venues and a broader range of commercial environments, including fitness facilities, offices, schools, retail sites and major venues. That breadth has helped us develop the management structure, quality controls and service systems needed to support individual locations and larger multi-site portfolios.
Our initial New Zealand operation has been deliberately centred on hospitality and venue services. It is a sector we understand well, with fast trading environments, detailed presentation requirements and a need for close communication between venue teams and service partners.
Auckland and Queenstown
New Era initially established operating capability in Auckland and Queenstown. Both locations have strong hospitality sectors and provide practical bases from which we can build local teams and develop our presence across New Zealand.
As the operation grows, our aim is to support hospitality groups, individual venues, major venues and multi-site operators across both the North and South Islands.
Early New Zealand partnerships
Our early New Zealand partnerships included Foley Hospitality, which operates a portfolio of restaurants and bars across New Zealand. The relationship helped provide an early foundation for our hospitality-focused operation.
Behemoth Hospitality was another early partner supporting the establishment of New Era in New Zealand. These partnerships gave our local teams the opportunity to apply a structured service model within active hospitality environments while continuing to build capability on the ground.
Building on the same foundations
The New Zealand operation is being built around the same fundamentals that supported New Era’s growth in Australia: strong local teams, accessible and hands-on management, clear ownership, regular inspections, consistent quality assurance and straightforward communication.
Our service systems are designed for fast-paced hospitality environments, where requirements can change quickly and issues need to be addressed by people who understand the site. Local New Zealand cleaners, supervisors and managers are responsible for day-to-day delivery, supported by the wider systems and experience developed across the Australian business.
This approach allows New Era to build genuine local capability rather than manage New Zealand sites remotely. It also provides a consistent operating framework as teams, partnerships and service coverage grow.
Looking ahead
New Era intends to continue building local teams, developing long-term partnerships and creating employment opportunities across New Zealand. Over time, we plan to expand beyond Auckland and Queenstown and support larger hospitality groups, major venues and multi-site portfolios in more locations.
The New Zealand launch marked the beginning of New Era’s international expansion, backed by an established Australian operation and a clear focus on building the right local structure for sustainable growth.
